{PS: The wonderful art is done by the masterful Stephanie Pui-Mun Law}
I think I found a new day in the Alliteration Week we are all doing here at LiveJournal. Now anyways this post is going be kind of random since I have been willing to post some cool stuff, but they are a bit of a surprise and I am still preparing them.
It has been a long time since I got reminded of those funny objects I thought of with meredith_wood over her journal. It was way back to go and copy paste the whole, but I was actually having fun there. It all started with a lawnmower as a grand prize I offered and well Shea was obviously really scared she might cut off her fingers and attract vampires. So I had the brilliant idea to hand her over some miracle binding tissue healings bands aka BTHB and some Stake-in-a-Can for 45 effective sprays with stakes perfect quality. I felt like starting an Acme store with all these crazy objects and well I probably will someday.
How I got reminded of this? You are going to ask. Well it was started up with jimhines himself, who posted another one of his lolbooks and well I quote myself: “Mhm, I never knew power Word Flush could do so much damage. I think that it couple with the Mighty Toilet Scrub Brush of Hygiene and the Napalm Spray Cleaning product of Clenliness can cause the apocalypse.” The picture that inspired it all is here.
Anyways, here is my major poetry project I completed.
Equlibrium
Above the world, embraced in heights,
sheltered on an isle of spells,
the seer peers through the haze
eyes like hawks in distant daze.
Dancing shades encircle her light
dripping from verdant elm,
tar reflections of the lands
whisper secrets on her hands.
Silver string of highest branch
crosses straight to sacred realms,
where gods and goddesses descend
with amber strands of consent.
She inhales the sweetened waves
of heartsease sprounting from beneath,
soul surrounded in velvet trance
wisdom expanding, darkening her glance.
One look is enough for her to see
the web behind the animals and trees,
pages of knowledge in breathing ink
open to the one with "x" on her palm.
However for the wisdom received
she gave her children unconceived.
To the spinning wheel of time
she offered youth, fertile waters.
Her heart encased in opal seed
belated beauty like rusting lead,
hidden from love, denied of affection,
a heart still beating, but not her own.
The seer sits on her solitary throne,
battling frigid winds on her own.
Gebo marks her being, takes her time
celtic scales drawing lines of her gain.
Well I hope that this is as clear as possible, but well the Gebo rune is connected with giving and receiving. Basically upon receiving whatever it may be one must deserving and has to have given something in exchange before or after hand. The Seer has gained the
wisdom to understand our world with the wisdom and sight of the gods, but in return she has sacrificed her youth, her happiness, denied her heart of love and joys of beinga mother, the ultimate sacrifice for a woman as she is a life bringer.
Symbols:
Heartsease: Also known as violets or wild pansies and they are connected both to thoughts and faithfulness. It's also the flower connected to the rune. This all adds up to the whole wisdom aspect and the fact that she will never try to change what she had done to herself.
Elm: Also a symbol to the rune and well it stands for dignity. The Seer is proud and comfortable of her choice and that is what makes her powerful. She has this gift and even though she is alone and has wasted her life for the wisdom that actually isolates her from humanity, she has enough strength to stand by proudly.
